How customers find you on Google: 5 simple steps
Nobody can promise first place. But these five steps make a big difference and cost nothing.

“I want to be first on Google.” We hear it every day. Nobody can promise that, but there are five simple things that make a big difference and cost nothing.
1. Set up your Google Business Profile
It is free and it is what shows on the map when someone searches “near me”. Add your correct name, address, phone, opening hours, and photos. Use exactly the same details on your website; Google compares them.
2. Say clearly what you do and where
Google reads the text on your website. If it says “Plumber in Glyfada, repairs and drain clearing”, it understands exactly what you offer and where. If it only says “Welcome to our website”, it learns nothing.
3. Ask for reviews
Reviews matter hugely for Google and for customers. After a good job, say simply: “If you were happy with the work, a Google review would really help.” Most people are glad to do it.
4. Make sure your website works on mobile
Most customers search from their phone. If your site loads slowly or the text is tiny, they leave, and Google notices. Our ready-made sites are built mobile-first.
5. Be patient
A new website usually needs a few weeks to show up properly on Google. Nothing is broken. In the meantime, share your address on Facebook, WhatsApp, and your business card.
What to avoid
If someone calls and promises “first on Google in one week” for a fee, hang up. That is not how it works. Google favours businesses with accurate details, good reviews, and a website that states clearly what they do.
